Spider Hologram

Image holospider.jpg
Description Massive spiders are the least of your worries, even if every shred of scientific understanding in your body screams they're impossible. At least this is just a hologram of one, so it was probably blown up from a tiny spider like the ones that infest everyone's apartment in Southside and, well, probably everywhere else. The rich probably just have drones to kill them.

Halloween Teardown

Without a projector installed:

You don't have anything like the projector for this type of data. If you recall correctly, they used to use a network of interlocking lasers to do it.

You'd just need, well, lasers. Lots and lots of lasers.

With Charred Projector installed:

You have a projector for this type of data, but it's kind of… well, charred at the moment. You'll have to repair it first.

With Laser Projector installed:

The lasers lovingly carve a skittering spider out of the air, helping it to crawl around your walls and ceiling.

With Holographic Projector installed:

Eight rays become eight legs in the projector's emerald light…

You kick back and watch for a while, marveling at how lifelike these new technological creations can be.

With Holographic Projector installed, while etheric:
Using this gives:

Eight rays become eight legs in the projector's emerald light…

Something seems to be wrong! The projector's drawing too much power!

Full speed ahead!

The spidery shape drops a strand of light "webbing" onto you arm. It's funny except… it's actually sticky. Oh no.

(Fight: Holographic Spider)

And if you win with a dual laser equipped:
The last shreds of its energy crackle back up your lasers' paths. Feeding on your lasers and the energy of your projector, now pouring out a cloud of smoke, it settles into a strangely solid form in your hand.

You transformed your equipped offhand to solid spider hologram.

You lose your Spider Hologram, win or lose. If you win, it turns your holographic projector into a charred projector.

Stop the transfer!

You stop the transfer before it does any damage. Phew.

No energy or item loss

The projector tries to form an image, but it flickers strangely, like a fire being twisted by strong winds.

The projector tries to form an image, but it disappears quickly, like a fire being snuffed by roaring winds.
