Shipping Drone Net

Shipping drones can now be hacked and intercepted. There are currently two places where you can find shipping drones, and both require the Juryrigged Antenna effect active:

Drones have identifiers that (mostly?) correlate with particular shipping companies. By examining the Drone Registry routines in drones from a given company, it is possible to learn a quest recipe that lets you filter for their drones (at the cost of one Filtering Script).

All drone names are seven characters, with a 1-3 letter prefix, an optional hyphen and 3-6 digits. Some drones are unregistered smugglers.

Silver Courier does not fly along the shoreline, and Alliance/NickOTime do not fly at high altitudes. Having the filtering effect in these cases does not seem to do anything.

Rewards

The biggest use for hacking shipping drones is intercepting their packages. There are many possible results - see Guidance System (shoreline) and Guidance System (high-altitude) for the complete list.

See also Shipping Drone Net Site Structure for full details on all shipping routines.
