If getting the Distant Claw technique by getting a whole lot of Etheric all at once with the scientist's claw equipped was a trick, Kinak is unlikely to repeat it. But maybe it's more of a … mechanic. So, since you Stolen Artistry folks are getting huge dollops of Etheric anyway, it might be worth trying some of the seeming sub-optimal items that give a bonus to duration and see if anything interesting happens. I mean, some of them were optimal before being superseded by other, better stuff, and some of them may be optimal given the point in the run that they become available, but some of them never are or were optimal, as far as I can tell.

I have tried the vicious poetry to no avail, but the cabling nest, cracked pipe, and toxic crystal all look promising. Bonus points for using hound Eclipse with that last one …

The black rose bud would be especially good to try if you have Dark Bloom, and better still if you take infused petals. Etheric focus, hunter focus, misty gem are possible, but seem less likely to me. Still probably worth trying, though, just in case.

If you do try this, it probably makes sense to test only one sub-optimal duration enhancer at a time. :)

EDIT: No luck getting 60 energy of Ocean Sight with a cracked pipe equipped.

Just for the record, I've tried getting a bunch of etheric energy with the cabling nest, and then both regular and hound Eclipse for the toxic crystal, to no avail.
